Suffragan Bishop Thomas Griffith
Council Chairman
Dr. Thomas E. Griffith began his undergraduate studies at Eastern Kentucky University and completed his undergraduate work at Aenon Bible College, where he received his Bachelor of Religious Education in 1979.
In 1989, he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Education Degree from Pentecostal Bible College of Tuskegee, Alabama. He completed his studies at the Christian Theological Seminary, receiving his Masters of Arts with a concentration in Christian Education in 1991. In 1998, he received his Doctorate of Divinity from Aenon Bible College.
It was also at this time that he began his professional affiliation with Aenon Bible College, where he began as an instructor. He progressed through the ranks of the institution and became the Academic Dean in 1984, Chancellor in 1987, Executive Vice President in 1990, and then President. He served as President of Aenon Bible College from 1998 – 2002.
Dr. Griffith has been an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. for more than twenty years. He's been a member of Zion Tabernacle Apostolic Faith Church since moving to Indianapolis. In 1989, he was elevated to Assistant Pastor and served faithfully under the pastorate of our Senior Bishop, Suffragan Bishop Joseph D. Farris. As God began to move upon the heart and mind of Suffragan Bishop Farris, he passed the mantle and pastoral duties down to Dr. Griffith in June of 2006. In humble fashion, Dr. Griffith took on the role of Acting Pastor. On Sunday, December 3, 2007, Dr. Thomas Griffith was officially installed as the Pastor of Zion Tabernacle Apostolic Faith Church.
Pastor, preacher, teacher, administrator, and family man, Dr. Griffith has also authored articles that have been published nationally. “Campus Ministry” was featured in The Christian Outlook and “Theology a Privilege Not a Right” was published in the Aenon Forum.
